MSHP alumni receive academic accolades at awards ceremony

Four MSHP alumni received academic recognition at an awards ceremony for the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences.

Savion Smith, a freshman Mathematics major, received the André Levard Mackey Scholarship.

My Huynh, a sophomore Mathematics major, received the Joaquin Bustoz Memorial Scholarship.  This scholarship is named for Dr. Joaquin Bustoz, founder of the Math-Science Honors Program, and is awarded to an outstanding MSHP alumni majoring in Mathematics.  

Maple So, a sophomore Mathematics major, received the Dean’s Circle Scholarship.  

Sergio Ramirez, a junior Mathematics major, received the Jack H. Hawes Memorial Mathematics Research Scholarship.  

Also, MSHP alumni Richard “Madison” Haynie received the Outstanding Undergraduate Physics Student Award at an awards ceremony for the Department of Physics.
