The Joaquin Bustoz Math-Science Honors Program recently completed another successful summer program. Over 100 students were exposed to a fast-faced academic setting and challenged with rigorous material, computer labs, and group projects. Students also learned about college resources with presentations from ASU Admissions, Financial Aid, the Barrett Honors College, and the Navy ROTC. They also gained valuable life skills with résumé writing workshops.

AML 100: Introduction to Applied Mathematics in the Life and Social Sciences students worked alongside with applied mathematics Ph.D. graduate students to learn about mathematical modeling and attended a graduate level research presentation to learn about the various opportunities in mathematical biology.

Congratulations to all of the summer participants and thank you to the summer staff for all your hard work!
